How to tie a men's scarf? 2 right ways
Are you wondering how to tie a men's scarf, searching online for 100 different methods, and still unsure which one to choose? We’ve got good news for you.In our opinion, the Internet suggests way too many ideas on how to tie men's scarves, but in reality, there are only two good ways. What are they and why? Let us explain.
Method 1: Elegant
In our view, this is definitely the best way to tie a men's scarf.
Simply drape the scarf around your neck and lay the ends over your chest. The chest is the key word here because keeping your heart warm means more warmth for your entire body.
If you have a scarf made of high-quality wool (you can buy virgin wool scarves with the perfect weave and size here: mens scarves), you’ll have no trouble staying warm even at lower temperatures (around 5 degrees Celsius, a wool blazer might even suffice instead of a coat).
In this version, the scarf subtly peeks out, showing off its color and pattern. This way, you can add some life to your outfit, introduce a new color to your look, and stand out among those who don't understand the power of accessories.
Did you know…
Men's wool scarves made of so-called virgin wool (wool from the first shearing of a sheep's life) are very thin yet extremely warm. By choosing this kind of scarf, you’ll not only stay genuinely warm but also avoid a thick layer around your neck. A bulky, protruding knot is neither comfortable nor particularly stylish.
Method 2: The Italian
The first method, the so-called elegant one, could equally be called the warming method because the wool rests on your heart, protecting it from the cold. The second method, the so-called Italian one, can be described as the sealing method.
In this case, we’re not focusing on warmth but on shielding yourself from wind or rain.To tie this, simply fold the scarf in half, then pull the two loose ends through the loop and gently tighten. The scarf should fit snugly around your neck, but not too tight, ensuring both comfort and freedom of movement.
In this style, we assume it’s cold outside, you’re already wearing several layers, and the scarf isn’t meant to add another layer (as in the elegant tying method), but to protect you from air entering from the neck area under your coat or jacket.

One more important point…
For these methods to be truly effective, your wool scarf needs to have the right dimensions. There are many scarves on the market that are too short, and the scarf ends up being too short to loop properly using method 2.
Dignito wool scarves have the best, optimal length and width. We’ve tested many scarf sizes and made a thoughtful decision in this regard. You can buy one and test it here: Men's scarves
9 out of 10 customers are surprised at how such a thin scarf can also be so warm. The secret? The quality and weave of the wool. :)
How to tie men's scarves? Summary
In our opinion, big knots or bows under the neck are a waste of material that could be used to actually warm your chest and increase your comfort on cold days. That’s why we encourage you to use the two methods described above. Not only will you simplify the process, but you’ll also look good and stylish. And if you have any questions about scarves, you can always write to us at info@dignito.pl
